I give back!

Because I feel it is important, I want you to know that I give back 10% of my book sales to organizations in my community or Consumer groups I feel make a difference.

I thought I would highlight my favorites for you and should you have a preference, feel free to send me an e-mail, designating how you want your contribution spent.  Thank-you for your support, I truly put my heart and soul into my work and I hope you are touched when reading my written words!

Home of Hope, Inc.

This is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization started by two Oklahoma women impacted by Down’s Syndrome children who saw beyond their kids limitations and created opportunities for exploration, independence and a meaningful way for their adult children to live.  They are a standard of excellence in improving the lives of developmentally disabled adults providing homes, jobs and a quality of life to their residents.  I am proud to say, my husband works there so I know firsthand, how carefully they budget and dedicate their resources to provide quality care.

Humane Society of Grove & Grand Lake

This is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit, no-kill animal shelter that is not funded by any local, state or federal program but only survives by private donations.  They usually are always at capacity and it saddens me to think they have to turn away animals.

Environmental Working Group – EWG is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in 1993 by Ken Cook and Richard Wiles.  They are wonderful about sharing information and are becoming a powerful force for consumer health protection issues.
